I hold it to be the inalienable right of anybody to go to hell in his own way. —Robert Frost

BHP is excited to announce that we are preparing the release (release date announcement to come) of JACK TUESDAY, the new mystery from F. Nelson Smith.

Being set in Alberta during the 1970's, this retro mystery centers around a police officer accused of his partner and best friend's murder. If you love twisting plots and vibrantly painted casts of characters, brilliant representations of trauma, history, loyalty, and vengeance, then JACK TUESDAY is the mystery for you.

This is Smith's 3rd title with BHP, so to celebrate we have designed new covers for her other two novels to complement the latest. We will be revealing those soon, so stay tuned.

Here is what reviewers have said about her last two mysteries.

NO STRAIGHT THING:

"Ultimately heartwarming despite its macabre circumstances, No Straight Thing is an engrossing historical mystery."

— Clarion, Foreword Reviews

"With its vivid atmosphere and unforgettable characters, No Straight Thing is a treat for fans of suspenseful historical fiction."

— BlueInk, Starred Review

PERPETUAL CHECK:

"Perpetual Check is a page-turner with a resolution readers won't see coming. It will please anyone who appreciates interesting characters and mysteries that deliver the unexpected."

BlueInk, Starred Review

"Clever and surprising, Perpetual Check is a thrilling novel set during the intersection between the decline of the Soviet Union and the dawn of the computer age."

Clarion, Foreword Reviews

"An espionage thriller that follows the genre's form while also adding some unique wrinkles and scenery all its own."
